Giving Tuesday

Everyone, please forgive me for being so far behind on everything. As I’m sure everyone knows today is giving Tuesday, as I’m sure some of you’ve noticed I rarely do fundraisers online anymore. The past three years, the rescue has been blessed abundantly by my Pony friends. This year things have been a little bit different.
Due to my mother‘s passing and me taking care of her while on hospice, I had someone feeding the rescue horses for me quite a bit in the month of November, which has put me behind financially with my budget. We have also had some very severe neglect cases that have cost thousands to rehab. The budget for the month of December is $11,000, as hay and grain are currently costing about $2200 a week, along with rent at the other property, supplements, and Ferrier care for the month .
I have never been one to ask for donations every time a new horse comes in or a horse needs surgery or has a special need. I have relied on our monthly sponsors and donors. This year, I may be having to do more fundraisers. I’m asking today if you feel it in your heart to donate to the horses of Fallen Oak, please do so, as our budget is a lot tighter this year than it has been the past two years. I will continue to do everything in my power to raise funds for the Rescue and make sure that the horses get the best care possible.
This is a journey and a task that I cannot do alone. I am so thankful for my volunteers, donors, and sponsors. So today if you feel led, please donate. I’m only able to do this incredible calling on my life because of all of you. May you be blessed tenfold during this holiday season.
